The EASIEST Peanut Butter Recipe!

Ok, so I know that a lot of the Thermomix recipes for peanut butter contain extra oil. BUT! I’m here to tell you that you definitely do not need to add any oil when making peanut butter in the Thermomix. All you need is peanuts. Seriously. The peanuts naturally contain enough oil all on their own to create the most delicious butter.

You can use either salted or unsalted peanuts depending on your preference. I generally use unsalted as I like to use my peanut butter in lots of baking recipes. But it’s totally up to you! To make peanut butter in the Thermomix, you simple place the peanuts in the TM bowl. How long you mix the peanuts for will depend on how smooth or crunchy you like your peanut butter. I personally like it really smooth, so I mix it for quite a while. The longer you mix it for, the smoother it will become (and the easier it will be to spread!).

The trick to a really great peanut butter in the Thermomix is to scrape down the sides of the bowl regularly. When I’m making my peanut butter, I will often scrape it down 5-6 times (but that’s because I like mine super smooth!).

You can store your peanut butter in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

  1. We ran out of pb, google spat out your recipe! Whizzed it up much to my 9yr olds amazement, 3yr old sniffed it, licked it and declared it was yucky. Added some salt whizzed some more and now its “delicious mama!!”.
Think it will take hubby a while to catch on, his comment was “tastes disgustingly healthy”.
All in all a success story thank you.

  2. Works perfectly & you are right, there is no need to add oil. I roasted the peanuts from raw first & probably overdid it but I can adjust that next time. So my peanut butter is a bit darker that it should be but still tastes great. I added had a teaspoon of salt during the final stages

Such an easy and foolproof recipe. I even forgot to stop and scrape the sides every 30 seconds and it still came out delicious.
I used salted, roasted peanuts, but will give it a go with raw next time for a healthier version. Thanks so much for sharing your recipe!
