Two of my favourite things in the world are peanut butter and chocolate. Put them together and I'm like a little pig in mud. And don't even get me started on my love of ice cream (please don't, because I could go on for days!). Anyway, I've indulged in my fair share of Ben and Jerry's peanut butter and chocolate ice cream over the years, and while it tastes amazing (OMG it really, really does!), it's not the healthiest thing ever.
So I decided that it was time to make a healthy peanut butter and chocolate ice cream in the Thermomix. In fact, I probably should have done it a long time ago! Anyway, I am soooo glad that I finally got around to it! This Healthy Peanut Butter and Chocolate Ice Cream tastes so rich and creamy that you could totally be forgiven for thinking that you're indulging in a big bowl of Ben and Jerry's. But the best thing is that it's actually really healthy (and of course, so easy!).
The only ingredients you need to make this delicious little treat are frozen bananas, cocoa powder, peanut butter and agave syrup. That's it! Geez I love a healthy and easy treat. In fact, you could totally justify eating this for breakfast! If you like, you could add a little more or less of the cocoa powder and peanut butter to suit your tastes. Oh, and if you've got some homemade TM peanut butter then definitely use that too - there's nothing better than homemade peanut butter!
I really do love how simple it is to make healthy ice cream in the Thermomix (well let's face it... I just love the Thermomix in general, but it's ice cream making ability is insanely awesome!).
What are your favourite TM ice cream flavours? Are you a peanut butter and chocolate fan too?

Oh my, this looks so good!!
Could I use 100% pure maple syrup if I don't have Agave Syrup?
Lucy says
Yes definitely Kristy! It only has a tiny bit in it anyway, so it should be absolutely fine!

Thanks Lucy 🙂

I just made it! So yummy I can't believe how creamy it is. I love the banana taste but I'm wondering whether it remains when adding different ingredients?
Lucy says
Hi Kristy! Yay! I'm so glad you liked it. Yes to be honest I've found that the banana taste still comes through even with other ingredients!
