What You Need
Our Thermomix Baileys Chocolate Sauce is made using 6 ingredients:
- dark chocolate - choose a good quality dark cooking chocolate (like Nestle or Cadbury)
- cream - use thickened cream or pouring cream (not whipped cream)
- brown sugar - light or dark brown sugar can be used. Dark brown sugar will result in a richer caramel flavour
- golden syrup - if you can't buy golden syrup, you can use rice malt syrup or corn syrup instead
- butter - use salted or unsalted butter
- Baileys Irish Cream - use store-bought Baileys Irish Cream or make your own.
Step By Step Thermomix Instructions
Just 3 simple steps and 15 minutes is all it takes to make homemade Baileys chocolate sauce.
Step 1 - Grate The Chocolate
Break the chocolate into the Thermomix bowl and grate for 6 seconds, Speed 8.
Step 2 - Cook The Sauce
Add the cream, brown sugar, golden syrup and butter and cook for 12 minutes, 100 degrees, Speed 2.
Step 3 - Stir Through The Baileys
Stir the Baileys Irish Cream through with a spatula.
Note: the sauce will thicken as it cools.

Ingredients
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 250 g thickened cream
- 100 g brown sugar
- 30 g golden syrup
- 20 g butter
- 60 g Baileys Irish Cream see notes
Instructions
- Place the dark chocolate into the Thermomix machine. Grate for 6 seconds, Speed 8.
- Add all remaining ingredients (except for the Baileys).
- Cook for 12 minutes, 100 degrees, Speed 2.Note: the sauce will thicken on cooling.
- Stir through the Baileys Irish Cream with the spatula.
- Pour into a sterilised jar and store in the fridge for up to a week.
