Butter - we prefer to use unsalted butter for our recipes.

Brown Sugar - we use regular brown sugar.

    Golden Syrup

Sweetened Condensed Milk - it is essential to use full fat sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated milk for this recipe.

White Chocolate - we recommend using a good quality white chocolate.

Sea Salt Flakes - we do recommend using sea salt flakes versus table salt, as it is less processed and provides a stronger and more distinctive salty taste.

    Recipe Hints and Tips

It is important to use full fat sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated milk for this recipe.

If you mistakenly add the white chocolate before the second cook, the fudge will still work out, the consistency will be a little different.

Once the white chocolate has been added, it will begin to set quickly, make sure the baking dish is lined and in easy reach.

Ideally, make this salted caramel fudge the day before it is needed. Ensuring it is fully set.

We recommend to use good quality salt flakes when making this recipe, you can use table salt however.

We used a 20cm square baking tin to make the fudge pictured. You can also use an 18 x 28cm slice tray however the height of the fudge will be less.
