    Just like our mango version and our choc peanut butter version, the smooth, creamy ice-cream texture will keep them coming back for more!

    This is one of my son's all-time favourite after school snack! Here's why your kids (and you!) will love it so much:

    • Tastes like ice-cream... but it's healthy! - your kids will think they're devouring a bowl of ice-cream, without a clue that it's actually healthy!
    • Made from just 2 ingredients - all you need are frozen bananas and cocoa powder.
    • Ready in 2 minutes - serve those hungry tummies a bowl of 'nice-cream' in under 2 minutes.
    • Versatile - substitute the cocoa powder with frozen berries, mango or even peanut butter!

    What You Need

    • Bananas - these must be frozen solid. Break or chop into chunks before adding to the Thermomix.
    • Cocoa Powder - or substitute for cacao powder.

    It's SO easy to make Healthy Thermomix Chocolate Ice Cream!

    Step 1 - Add The Ingredients

    Break or chop the bananas into your Thermomix bowl.

    Add the cocoa powder.

    Frozen bananas and cocoa powder in a Thermomix.

    Step 2 - Mix

    Chop for 15 seconds, Speed 8.

    Scrape down the sides of the bowl.

    Chopped banana and cocoa powder.

    Mix for a further 1 minute, Speed 4.

    For best results, serve immediately!

    Expert Tips

    • Use frozen bananas (not fresh) and break or chop into chunks before mixing
    • Substitute the cocoa powder with cacao powder if preferred
    • Serve immediately... the 'ice-cream' will melt quickly!
    • Not suitable for refreezing
    • Substitute the cocoa powder for other frozen fruits such as berries and mango!
    • Serve on it's own or with yoghurt and fresh fruit
    • This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled

    Yes they do! Frozen bananas blend into super creamy, luscious 'ice-cream'.

    Can I add other frozen fruits?

    Yes! Omit the cocoa powder and try adding frozen berries or mango along with the frozen banana.

    Can I refreeze healthy Thermomix chocolate ice cream?

    No - this is best served immediately from the Thermomix (it will melt quickly!).

    Ingredients

    • 2 frozen bananas large, roughly chopped
    • 10 g cocoa powder or cacao powder

    Instructions

    • Place the frozen banana pieces and cocoa powder into your Thermomix bowl.
    • Mix for 15 seconds, slowly working your way up to Speed 8.
    • Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix for a 1 minute, Speed 4, or until smooth and creamy.
