A white cake stand with balls made from biscuits and coconut.

These simple Thermomix Chocolate Coconut Balls (also known as rum balls) are by FAR one of the most popular recipes on ThermoBliss!

Once you make them, you'll fall in love too!

Why You're Going To Love This Recipe

These old fashioned chocolate coconut balls are the BEST!

Here's why you're going to love them:

    • 4 ingredients - all you need is sweetened condensed milk, plain biscuits (cookies), coconut and cocoa powder
    • budget-friendly - forget about expensive snacks.. these cost next to nothing (and taste amazing)
    • kid-friendly - take it from me, the kids love to make and eat these simple little balls
    • no-bake - there's no need to turn the oven on to make these easy no bake chocolate coconut balls
A rum ball coated in coconut in a bowl of coconut.

    What You Need

    Just 4 ingredients!!

    • sweetened condensed milk - I recommend using full fat sweetened condensed milk (rather than skim sweetened condensed milk) as it sets firmer
    • coconut - choose desiccated coconut for this recipe
    • plain sweet biscuits - known as cookies in the US. You can use any type of plain sweet biscuit/cookie you like. I like to use Arnott's Marie biscuits for this recipe
    • cocoa powder - or substitute for cacao powder or Milo (malted milk powder)

How To Make Chocolate Coconut Balls In A Thermomix

These super easy no-bake chocolate coconut balls take just 3 steps to make!

Step 1 - Crush The Biscuits

Place the plain sweet biscuits into the Thermomix and crush until fine crumbs remain (see recipe below).

Step 2 - Add The Remaining Ingredients

Add the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder and coconut and mix to combine.

Step 3 - Roll Into Balls

Roll the mixture into heaped teaspoon sized balls. Coat in the extra coconut and chill in the fridge.

    Recipe Tips

    • Use full fat sweetened condensed milk - skim condensed milk does not set as firm as full fat sweetened condensed milk
    • Cocoa powder - you can substitute this for cacao powder or Milo (malted milk powder).
    • Coconut - for a coconut-free version, omit the coconut and add a little extra crushed biscuits. Roll the balls in cocoa powder, cacao powder or
    • Storage - Store the chocolate coconut balls in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
    • Freezing - Freeze the balls for up to 3 months in an airtight container.
