    This recipe is based on our famous Thermomix Chocolate Brownies recipe, and makes the perfect sweet snack or dessert.

    • Butter - we use unsalted butter.
    • Caster sugar
    • Cocoa powder
    • Eggs - we use 70 gram eggs for this recipe.
    • Plain flour
    • Vanilla extract
    • Peanut Butter

    Step by Step Instructions

    Step 1. Add the butter, caster sugar and cocoa to the Thermomix bowl and cook until melted and combined.

    Step 2. Add the vanilla extract, eggs and plain flour and mix to combine.

    Step 3. Pour the brownie mixture into a prepared baking dish. Gently smooth the surface.

    Step 4. Add dollops of peanut butter, use a butter knife to gently swirl into the brownie mixture.

    Step 5. Bake until just cooked through. Wait until the Peanut Butter Brownies have completely cooled before slicing into pieces.

    Recipe Hints and Tips

    • It is essential to not overcook the brownies, to ensure you have a soft and fudgey centre.
    • For best results, allow the brownies to completely cool before slicing into pieces.
    • Substitute plain flour with gluten free plain flour if required.
    • Use either crunchy of smooth peanut butter.
    • Cooking times are for a 20cm square baking dish. Other sized dishes may be used, however the baking time will vary.
    • Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Consume within four days.
    • These brownies are freezer friendly and can be frozen for up to two months.

    Equipment

    • 1 x 20cm square baking dish

    Ingredients

    • 150 grams butter
    • 220 grams caster sugar
    • 75 grams cocoa powder
    • 3 Eggs
    • 75 gram Plain flour
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 200 grams peanut butter

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 160 degrees celsius (fan-forced)
    • Grease and line a 20cm square baking dish.
    • Place the butter (cubed), caster sugar and cocoa into your Thermomix bowl and cook for 3 minutes, 65 degrees speed 2. If the butter hasn’t quite melted, cook for a further 1 minute, 65 degrees, speed 2.
    • Add the vanilla extract, eggs and plain flour and mix for 10 seconds on speed 4 to combine
    • Scrape down the sides of your bowl and mix for a further 10 seconds on speed 4.
    • Pour into the prepared tin and gently smooth surface.
    • Add the peanut butter in dollops before using a butter knife to swirl it through the brownie mixture.
    • Bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean.

    Notes

    • It is essential to not overcook the brownies, to ensure you have a soft and fudgey centre.
