Thermomix Margaritas

- 100 g tequila silver or blanco
- 50 g Cointreau
- 60 g lime juice
- 150 g ice cubes
- salt and lime for the rim and garnish optional
Optional Preparation - rub a halved lime around the rim of 2 martini glasses. Dip the rims into salt. Garnish with a lime slice and set aside.
Place the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and ice cubes into the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 1 minute, Speed 10.
Pour into the prepared glasses and serve.
RECIPE NOTES & TIPS
- freshly squeezed lime is best, but you can use bottled or packaged lime juice instead.
- use a silver or blanco tequila, such as Jose Ceurvo brand (or any brand you like).
- Cointreau is an orange flavoured liqueur.
- For a sweeter margarita, add 50g of simple sugar syrup when mixing.
- There's no need to strain the margarita.
- Serve immediately or store in the fridge for a few hours until serving.
- This recipe can be doubled or tripled - simply ensure you do not exceed the MAX line.
