Who doesn’t love strawberry frosting? I mean really, it’s just so delicious! And while we all love that gorgeous pink colour, I know there’s lots of you out there who definitely don’t love food colouring (or have little ones who are allergic to it). And so today, we wanted to share with you a great Thermomix Strawberry Frosting recipe that will give you a beautiful colour… completely naturally.
This recipe is actually in the EDC and it’s a total winner. You make a basic buttercream and then add some fresh strawberries and a little bit of strawberry jam. I’ve also made this with raspberries before and it was absolutely beautiful.
It’s tempting to pop in a few extra strawberries, but stick to the recipe! If you add too many, your frosting will end up being a little bit runny- making it very hard to use (trust me… I’ve done that a few times).
*Please note that in these photos, I actually used milk instead of cream, which is why the frosting is not as stiff as it would usually be – I just prefer it to be a bit softer for cupcakes!
This frosting is absolutely perfect to use on cakes and cupcakes, or even to squish between two biscuits (yum!).
